Actor

Actor

Being a successful actor takes more than devotion! It’s indeed a rare talent to be able to “detach from your soul and live out others’ dreams”; to mask the true self and act in front of camera, to convey the most delicate emotions with your sparkling eyes; to endure hardships in the film set, to work days and nights with little rest. An actor must be well-prepared in order to understand the script thoroughly (e.g. the lines, the characters); you have to rehearse your scenes on your own at the shooting site   before going on-screen; you have to put on makeup and costumes then wait until your scene comes; and you also have to be accustomed to how the shooting is carried out such as know how to “position yourself” in front of the camera.

Also, audition is required for every new actor. It’s not difficult to be an actor, but you must have clear goals on what kind of actor you want to be, the leading role or the extra? Once you understand these few basic concepts about being a film actor, you have to work really hard to learn your trade, seize every chance to be on screen, and engage yourself wholeheartedly!
