Many people say that when young people join the workforce they have fewer opportunities to take exercise. As job responsibilities start to mount, it's no surprise that the time available for sport dwindles. What's more, the motivation to play sport seems to disappear too, and finding a partner becomes harder - your swimming or football buddies are busy managing their relationships or family commitments.
I think I'm the perfect example! After starting work a couple of years ago, various limitations on my time and perhaps a certain level of laziness contributed to my spending significantly less time on sport as opposed to my school days. The effects of my lack of exercise are clear to see - at least a dozen people have exclaimed at my belly, and I often feel lethargic, my coordination has got worse, and I am certainly less agile too.
Thank God I have found salvation through my girlfriend. I was given the opportunity to re-embrace sports, playing badminton with my girlfriend's parents or taking beginners' tennis classes with my colleagues. Racquet games apparently are not my forte, but in order to win my battle against flab, I didn't think I could make any more excuses.
