Total 41 public beaches in Hong Kong, with the exception of 3 beaches that are temporarily closed, and lifeguard services are suspended either. The 3 beaches are Hairpin Beach in Stanley, Big Wave Bay Beach in Shek O and Gemini Beaches in Tsuen Wan.
