To qualify as an ambulanceman with the Fire Services Department, one must first overcome a series of hurdles. Chan Ka Wing, an Ambulanceman, shares with us what it takes to make it through the process. A candidate with a minimum of three passes in HKCEE is required to undergo a series of tests, interviews and check-ups, to be followed by 26 weeks of training. The entrance tests and the gruelling training alone are challenging enough. What enables Chan Ka Wing to carry on in his job is a firm belief in helping others.
