Award-winning advertising projects in the 57th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival

CreateHK sponsored the creative teams of the winning advertising campaigns of the 2009 Kam Fan Awards, which is the most prestigious annual competition in Hong Kong to recognize the best works in the local advertising market, to participate in the 57th Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival presents one of the world's most important international advertising awards. Out of over 24,000 entries from all over the world being judged at this year’s Festival, Hong Kong’s entries won a total of 10 awards, including a Silver Lion and three Bronze Lions by two of the Kam Fan Award winners sponsored by CreateHK.

The project ‘Hidden Sound Campaign’, which won a Gold and a Silver Direct Lions, a Bronze Promo & Activation Lion and a Silver Design Lion, created images of some animals that live hidden in the city with QR codes featuring songs written by 14 indie bands. People could scan these codes with their mobile phones to get the respective songs and information on the selected bands. They could also buy the songs directly through their mobile phones, as well as share the songs on social media.
