“New Era with a Bright Future” 4-frame Photo Competition

“New Era with a Bright Future” 4-frame Photo Competition

Hong Kong has always been where East meets West, old and new intertwine. After returning to the Motherland, Hong Kong has continued to innovate and develop on all fronts including environment and community planning, recreational and cultural furtherance. Hong Kong is heading for an even brighter future as the city integrates into the Motherland’s national development roadmap.

Target participants: Full-time secondary school students in Hong Kong (Secondary School Category) or the public (Open Category) can enrol as an individual to either one of the categories and submit one entry only.

Objectives: Hong Kong has been growing and evolving since returning to the Motherland. On the infrastructure front, there are the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the High Speed Rail (Hong Kong Section); in environment and community planning, the city has developed extensive harbour front promenades and marine or wetland parks; cultural and sports facilities have been expanded by Xiqu Centre, the West Kowloon Cultural District as well as the ongoing project of Kai Tak Sports Park construction. The competition aims to encourage all to showcase the diverse facets of Hong Kong—its cityscapes and people, through visuals to express the beauty of Hong Kong and aspirations for its future.
