Where to celebrate Xmas?

Christmas Town in West Kowloon District

A festive atmosphere is taking over the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong’s world-class art and culture hub! Come celebrate the holiday season with your loved ones at the cheerful Christmas Town that features a towering Christmas tree and enchanting festive displays. Decorated with charming ornaments and garlands, the giant tree is surrounded by numerous smaller Christmas trees. Enjoy the blissful and wondrous ambience at this delightful time of year!

Date: 25 November 2022 – 1 January 2023
Time: 25 November – 21 December 2022  5pm – 11pm  (Monday to Friday)
11am – 11pm (Saturday and Sunday)
22 December 2022 – 1 January 2023* 11am – 11pm
*The operation time of 24, 25 & 31 December will be extended to 1am

Simple Gifts of Joy Light Show

The Simple Gifts of Joy journey begins at Parade Ground: at the centre is the soaring, beautifully adorned Christmas tree that will become a festive Hong Kong icon. Every evening, the tree will glow with a magical light show, creating a special atmosphere across the space. The historic buildings surrounding Parade Ground will also come alive with a symphony of dramatic lighting.

Date: 1 December 2022 - 2 January 2023
Time: Every half an hour from 6pm – 9:30pm (The light show may be cancelled without prior notice due to the on-site performances)
Venue: Parade Ground, Tai Kwon

Ngong Ping Glamping Christmas Village

Every Christmas, families, friends and relatives go on a landmark tour to enjoy the festive atmosphere. From 25 November 2022 to 2 January 2023, Ngong Ping Village will be transformed into “Ngong Ping Glamping Christmas Village” with a Christmas-themed caravan, European-inspired chalets and lovely snowmen to give guests a taste of the outdoor Christmas glamping atmosphere.

The Christmas-themed caravan is decorated with cute gingerbread men and Christmas decorations to add to the Christmas spirit. Guests can also go inside the caravan and get creative with their IG-able pictures. The European-style chalets with camping chairs and cute snowmen add to the outdoor Christmas atmosphere.

YS School-Cultural Festival

“Matsuri” or ”festival” means celebration, School Cultural Festival refers to student-led celebration, unleashing their strengths and charismas to the public in a variety of ways. “Dimension” means “space”. “Two-dimensional culture” refers to a variety of visual products and “three-dimensional” refers to life in the real world.

Youth Square will organise the first ‘YS School-Cultural Festival’ in mid-December. With the theme of “Gathering of Dreams in N-Dimensions”, youngsters are encouraged to follow their passions and live their dreams. Bringing together the elements of street dance, anime, cosplay, and figurine exhibition, the festival provides a platform for youngsters to freely express their enthusiasm in two-dimensional art, and additionally demonstrate their talents and dedication in the three-dimensional space. It opens up an exciting world for the new generation to pursue their dreams in infinite dimensions.
