Please keep the beach clean, thank you!

To raise the awareness of keeping the shorelines clean among the students in Hong Kong, the Student Environmental Protection Ambassador (SEPA) Scheme jointly organised by the Environmental Campaign Committee, Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and Education Bureau introduced a new programme called "Marine Conservation, Cleaner and Greener Shorelines" in 2013. This time in Wu Kai Sha, through activities such as collection of refuse at beaches, compiling records, analysing data and group discussion, the participating SEPAs, from Shau Kei Wan East Government Secondary School and Lok Sin Tong Young ko Hsiao Lin Secondary School, could understand more about the status and causes of shoreline pollution, and how to take practical action to protect the shorelines. They would also have a chance to learn about marine ecology. This new programme would be beneficial to participating SEPAs, in particular, those studying the Senior Secondary Curriculum Liberal Studies..
