Assistant Mechanical Inspectors are mainly deployed on inspection, operation and maintenance and repair of mechanical plant and equipment including motor vehicles in a wide range of Government utilities and workshops; design, procurement, project management and technical consultancy services; law enforcement, regulatory services and advisory services; and supervision of junior staff.
