The Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme is open for application all year round

The ‘Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS)’ was launched in 2003 and tailor-made for undergraduates (full-time non-final year) of local higher education institutions.  AUS applications are accepted all year round. Having received training, the undergraduates can join the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force to serve the community.

To facilitate applications, the ‘Auxiliary Recruitment Express’ will be held from time to time. Candidates will undergo the initial screening, group interview and physical fitness test in just ONE day.

Training and Remuneration
All trainees who have enrolled under the ‘Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme’ will receive full-time paid training during summer vacation between June and August.  The initial pay rate of new Auxiliary recruits is $104 per hour, with increments according to years of service and rank (remuneration is pegged with that of regular police).  Trainees will receive $38,000 upon completion of training and be deployed to different police districts.

Training programmes include: firearms training; resistance control training; laws and police procedure training; Chinese foot drill training; and physical fitness training..
