Tips for applying for Station Officer (Operational)

    Tip 5: Prepare for Preliminary Assessment
The Preliminary Assessment is split into two parts: Impromptu Talk, and Group Discussion. Candidates have to present the original copy of the certificates for verification.

   Tip 6: Prepare for Written Assessment, and Leadership Exercise
Candidates who have passed the Preliminary Assessment would be invited to attend the Written Assessment and Leadership Exercise. Task completion is not the only criterion. Candidates should try to display several other qualities to the examiners, including the ability to maintain team spirit, effective communication, adaptability to change, and persistence.

   Tip 7: Prepare for Final Assessment
Candidates who have passed the Written Assessment and Leadership Exercise would be invited to attend the Final Assessment. The assessment board would evaluate a candidate’s overall ability by asking a series of questions which focuses on different areas, including intelligence, reasoning power, judgement, general knowledge and common sense, officer potential and knowledge of the job.
