[HKDSE Cheer Up Videos – Exam Preparation] 2024

The 2024 HKDSE written examination will start on 9 April. [DSE Motivational Videos - Exam Results Release] 2023

The results of the 2023 HKDSE Examination will be released on July 19.  Graduates of this cohort will embark on another stage of life.  Secretary for Education, together with Mr YUNG Wing-ki, Samuel, Chairman of the HKEAA, will encourage all S6 students preparing for 2023 HKDSE Examination results release through short videos.  In addition, the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau has produced a series of the short videos titled “DSE Motivational Videos – Exam Results Release”, in which the interviewees shared their experiences and continued to instill positive energy in students. >>Click here to watch the videos<< (The videos are broadcast in Cantonese only)

[DSE Motivational Videos - Preparing for Exam] 2023

The 2023 HKDSE written examinations will start on 21 April.  To cheer up all Secondary 6 students in Hong Kong, the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau produced the short videos titled “DSE Motivational Videos – Preparing for Exam”.  Through sharing by guests from different sectors, students are encouraged to face challenges with a positive attitude, thereby creating a positive and caring atmosphere in society. Specialists (Education Services) (Educational Psychology) provide professional support for schools.  They apply their knowledge in educational psychology and base on scientific methodology in supporting schools to cater for students with diverse educational needs.Specialists (Education Services) (Speech Therapy) provide professional support for schools and school-based speech therapists (STs), arrange different types of professional development activities and develop resources of various topics for schools and school-based STs. Plan for future pathways, Seize the opportunities

The results of the 2022 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination will be released on 20 July. This is a new chapter in life for S6 students. The Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau continues to give encouragement to the candidates before and after the HKDSE Exam results release. “All roads lead to Rome.” Students shall never give up to achieve success through various channels, be proactive in exploring feasible pathways and plan ahead to realise their aspirations according to their interests, abilities and orientations. [Applied Learning, Apply the Learning] ApL graduates share their success stories

Applied Learning (ApL) courses are valued elective subjects in senior secondary education. ApL offers studies with dual emphasis on practice and theory linked to broad professional and vocational fields. A flexible combination of ApL with core subjects, elective subjects and Other Learning Experiences helps provide holistic learning experiences with theoretical and applied learning opportunities catering for students’ diverse learning needs. The two short videos below feature two ApL graduates who studied the course "Medical Laboratory Science" and the course "Film and Videos" respectively. Through studying the ApL courses, the two students not only gained relevant knowledge of the respective fields but also identified their real interests, thereby building a solid foundation for further studies and career pursuits. They also shared their stories on how ApL had helped them pursue their further studies and realise their career aspirations step by step.
