Officer of the Correctional Services Department
Officer Chim Tsz-chung, currently a Training Officer in the Staff Training Institute of the Correctional Services Department (CSD), is responsible for gearing up new recruits and preparing them to face future challenges at work. Mr Chim established his interest and determination to join the correctional services right after graduation from the university. He first joined CSD as an Assistant Officer II, and eventually found his path to advance his career as an Officer through an internal appointment scheme. In the video, Mr Chim shares his experience at work and highlights different scopes of duties of an Officer. He deeply believes that esprit de corp is an important element which facilitates an efficient accomplishment of work and achievement of targets in the Department. He regards this meaningful job as a mission to serve society. Besides complying with the requisite qualification, Mr Chim emphasises that candidates who are interested to join CSD should possess good personal traits. He also advises all to keep abreast of information of the Department, stay well-prepared for various recruitment selection processes and dress in proper attire with a bright turnout when attending interviews.
