S.T. Yau High School Science Award (Asia)

The S.T. Yau High School Science Award is a research-based competition for brightest secondary students to emerge early and fast. Over a decade more than half of the awardees have received admission into Tsinghua University, Peking University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, Princeton University, etc in the last decade. Eligibility:Enrolled secondary school students in Hong Kong and the Asian region outside Mainland China Subject Categories:1.Mathematics (including mathematics and statistics)2.Physics (including engineering physics)3.Biology (including biology and mathematical modeling of biological systems)4.Chemistry (including chemistry and pharmaceutical science)5.Computer Science6.Economic and Financial Modeling Competition Team:-Each team shall consist of 1 to 3 student member(s) from the same secondary school.-Each team shall have a supervisor from school/institution. Prizes for each subject category:1.Gold Award: Up to 1 with a cash prize of USD 5,0002.Silver Award: Up to 1 with a cash prize of USD 2,500 for Maths & USD 500 for others3.Honourable Mention: Up to 34.Certificate of Participation: All participants completing the oral defense will receive a Certificate of Participation Gold & Silver winning teams will be nominated to compete in YHSA Finale with cash prize of up to RMB100,000 in 2020.
