    Country park barbecue sites resume normal operation (includes the list of AFCD's country park barbecue sites)

    Following the relaxation of some social distancing measures announced by the Government, all of the 157 country park barbecue sites under the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) have resumed normal operation from 3 November. Country park visitors should comply with social distancing measures, and maintain personal and environmental hygiene. Visitors should dispose of used masks and waste properly and take their litter home.     HKSTP InnoCell provides a smart co-creation community for likeminded people

    InnoCell is a smart living and co-creation space designed for I&T talents to spark collaboration within Hong Kong Science Park. All of the spaces are designed with a well-considered balance between aesthetics and functionality. InnoCell’s vision is to develop an I&T co-creation community where its values and structures align with its residents’ needs. At InnoCell, a new way of living has been created with a focus on a genuine sense of community, where the use of shared spaces and smart living technologies helps to build greater personal interaction and collaboration — resulting in a network of likeminded talents who inspire one another and have a positive impact. Eligibility Criteria The 17-storey InnoCell provides over 500 beds. Apart from the Science Park's company founders, Mainland or overseas employees, it is also open to visiting academics, scientists and technology talents. InnoCell’s monthly rent is set up to around 60% of the market price of a similar property in the neighbourhood. The maximum lease period is one year. Experience Innovative Smart Living with Four Types of Unit There are four types of units: THE SOLO, THE TWIN, THE SUITE and THE POWERHUB.     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) recruits lifeguards on civil service terms as well as on non-civil service contract terms according to seasonal and operational needs for providing life-saving services at its public swimming pools, gazetted beaches and water sports centres. Applicants may also submit their job applications before the recruitment advertisement for the next swimming season.     Popular Interest Class - Yoga

    Yoga Yoga focuses on integrating the body, mind, and soul, giving people an impression of mystery. As more and more people pursue both physical and mental health, yoga as a sport that emphasises pranayama, posture, and regulation of breathing has gradually gained popularity and transformed into a fitness exercise. Yoga Courses Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) Apart from face-to-face yoga training courses, online-mode yoga fitness courses are also available. The courses cover the basic movements and basic poses of yoga, with a view to improving body shape, cardiopulmonary functions, muscular fitness and flexibility. More information about the yoga courses schedule can be found on LCSD’s website. Yan Oi Tong Regular yoga courses such as yoga therapy classes and yoga wheel classes for the public are held to help citizens build up a healthy lifestyle through stretching exercises. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) Wheel yoga and sculpt yoga courses have been held for people of different ages. More information about the yoga courses schedule can be found on HKFYG's website. Notes to participants during exercise Space required: about 2 x 2metres. Remember to remove all obstacles within the range of motion. Auxiliary equipment: anti-slip floor mat, bath towel (70 x 140 cm) and cushion (30 x 30cm).     3rd Phase of Futuremakers' First Job Youth Employment and Subsidy Programme

    To support youth employment and help SMEs weather the difficult time, St. James’ Settlement and Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited jointly introduced the “Futuremakers’ First Job Youth Employment and Subsidy Programme” in 2020. The programme encouraged SMEs to provide full time or short-term job opportunities for graduates by subsidising half of the wages of the youths employed. In the past 2 years, the programme has successfully helped over 300 graduates to find suitable jobs. SMEs would be able to explore suitable talents through the job matching platform, while DSE, post-secondary and university graduates will be able to find job opportunities which suit their interests and abilities. Corporates will receive half of the wages of each youth hired or up to HK$39,000 over a 6-month period. Participating youths will also be provided with job seeking skills and employment trainings as well as guaranteed interview opportunities within two weeks of the launch of the programme. The third phase of the programme is now accepting applications from 2020, 2021 or 2022 graduates. For more details, please visit the official website.
