The main theme of this creative work includes antagonistic motifs and develops throughout the music. The scenes on stage also change in accordance with the development of the music.
In the first part, the mixture of tone colour with the gong, zheng and self-made keyboard pipes represents the emergence of a “music note of tai-chi”. The melodies played by the electric violin and flute weave together, representing the birth of a ‘music puppet’ in the second part. The drum music in the third part establishes a “music palace”. With the accompaniment of a jumping character of natural signs, the music ends with fast-running notes towards freedom.
