Labour Department - “Ethnic Minority Ambassador Programme” Recruitment Day

Labour Department is now offering 10 on-the-job training vacancies for the post of “Employment Services Ambassador for Ethnic Minorities”. On-the-spot interviews will be conducted during the Recruitment Day. Reservations are required as interview timeslots are limited. Successful applicants shall attend a free training course provided by the training body under YETP. Trainees are entitled to training allowance during the training period. Upon completion of the training, applicants will be employed by Labour Department as “Employment Services Ambassador for Ethnic Minorities” and undergo on-the-job training with pay in Labour Department for 12 months.
Applicants should be registered as Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) trainees (young people aged 15 to 29 with educational attainment of sub-degree level or below); permanent residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; Secondary 4 academic level; able to communicate in either English or Chinese; and proficient in one of the following languages: Hindi, Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, Nepali, Thai, Urdu, Punjabi or Vietnamese.
A gift will be offered on-site to YETP trainees and job seekers eligible for YETP.
Those who have previously worked in the Labour Department under any forms of employment or services are not eligible for the post offered in the above Recruitment Day.
