The competition aims to encourage students to reflect on the relationship between national security and themselves, and express their understanding of “A Holistic Approach to National Security” through a short speech, thereby strengthening their awareness of safeguarding national security and enhancing their sense of belonging to our country. Schools can make use of the entries for promoting national security education and creating an atmosphere for safeguarding national security together on campus.

Sections

• Primary Section: Primary 1-6 students

• Secondary Section: Secondary 1-6 students

Separate awards will be presented for speeches in the Cantonese, Putonghua and English categories. Participating students may choose to deliver their speeches in Cantonese, Putonghua or English. The time limit for the primary section is no more than 1 minute and 30 seconds; and the time limit for the secondary section is no more than 2 minutes.
