The public concert of the Innovative Music Making: MO x e-Orch music training programme during the 2025/26 academic year will be held at 7.00pm on July 11 (Sat) at the Theatre of the East Kowloon Cultural Centre.
To promote Art Tech, the Music Office organises the “MO x e-Orch” training programme for school students. The respective four digital music orchestras (e-Orchs) from the Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) Primary School, Hennessy Road Government Primary School (Causeway Bay), The Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union Logos Academy and The Mission Covenant Church Holm Glad Primary School will showcase their original collaborative e-Orch multimedia works in the concert.
Among them, e-Orchs of Chan Sui Ki (La Salle) Primary School and Hennessy Road Government Primary School (Causeway Bay) will premiere with their school instrumental ensembles the new commissions with sponsorship from the CASH Music Fund: Luk Wai-chun The Sound of Spring, depicting the warmth of spring through blending the Chinese and Western instrumental sound effects; Lau Hiu-lam Robot Fantasia, skillfully synthesizing the electronic soundscapes with the Western instrumental tuneful melodies. E-Orch@EdUHK Contemporary Music and Digital Instrument Lab will also be invited to present their original e-Orch works.
