Ratatouille
2007 |USA |Colour | 111′ |In English with Chinese subtitles
2008 Best Animated Feature, Academy Awards
Tiny mouse Remy harboured grand ambitions: to become a five-star chef. Blessed with a keen sense of smell and taste, he envied human beings’ ability to craft dishes that delighted the senses from diverse ingredients. Yet mice are often hunted relentlessly by humans. While fleeing for his life, Remy becomes separated from his family. And he flees to a five-star restaurant in Paris, where he encounters a clumsy new kitchen hand, Linguini. This awkward lad unexpectedly becomes the perfect partner for Remy to pursue his culinary dream. This film boldly shatters stereotypes by casting a mouse as a master chef. It transforms the humblest French dish ratatouille into an extraordinary dinner, delivering an inspiring and heartwarming tale that appeals to all ages.
