Hu music originated from northern nomads and the Western Regions, and was prevalent in the Tang dynasty. ‘Silk Road artefacts’ are used as the thread running through six chapters of the concert, presenting a musical journey from Persia to Chang’an. Through elements of dance from India, Mongolian Plateau, Xinjiang, and other regions, the audience will experience firsthand the charm of ancient instruments such as the oud and morin khuur, guiding them to understand the historical and cultural exchanges behind these traditions. This programme is suitable for culture enthusiasts and art students, aiming to deepen understanding of Silk Road civilisation and promote cross-regional artistic dialogue.
