Introduction: In this workshop, participants work in groups of three, taking on the roles of the Municipal Department, Recycling Plant, and Trading Broker to jointly operate a city's circular economy system. Each group must manage continuously generated waste through processes such as sorting and recycling, quality upgrading, urban development, and material auctions. They must balance three key indicators, carbon emissions, city wealth, and public health, to avoid bankruptcy or environmental collapse. Cities can also trade resources with one another, allowing participants to grasp the core concepts of a circular economy through both cooperation and competition as they advance toward the "Net-Zero" mission.
