The Civil Service Bureau has launched an internship programme for non-ethnic Chinese students since 2019. Students will be arranged to work in various government bureaux/departments, so that they can participate in government work and gain valuable work experience to equip themselves for their future.

Singh Ananya (Ananya), was posted to the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau. She helped with data collation and research work on a variety of subjects and had the chance to take part in activities and work relating to the promotion of equal opportunities. She said the real-life work environment had enabled her to acquire new work and interpersonal skills, and it was indeed an invaluable experience.
