The 2026/27 School Care Subsidy Scheme is now accepting applications from schools, with a deadline of September 30.The Scheme aims to encourage student music groups from kindergartens and primary, secondary, post-secondary and special schools to serve the community through providing free on-site music performances for the elderly, special school students, people with disabilities, new immigrants, ethnic minorities and the beneficiaries of social welfare organisations — fostering social integration and harmony.Organised by the Music Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Scheme provides each successful applicant school with a maximum subsidy of $2,200 to cover costs including transportation, allowances for professionals, and miscellaneous items.Successful applicant schools must complete their performances between December 2026 and March 2027.
